辽宁省人民医院是辽宁省卫生计生委直属的综合性三级甲等医院，为辽宁省中部区域医疗中心。医院占地面积7.2万㎡，总建筑面积16.7万㎡，编制床位1788张，员工2256人。医院内设职能部门26个，临床医技科室47个，心血管内科、神经内科、骨科、消化内镜中心是医院四大优势学科,主办国家核心期刊《中国美容整形外科杂志》。

辽宁省人民医院创建于1949年，始称东北工人医院，是全国第一所工人医院。2015年辽宁省人民医院荣获“全国文明单位”。2016年医院制定“十三五发展规划”即五大战略：通过JCI认证，打造现代化管理型医院；跨越式提升医院信息化建设；打造省内一流的“五位一体”急诊急救体系；实施“十百千”人才工程；培育“四梁八柱”的学科体系。目标是“用一流的技术标准，一流的质量安全，建设国内一流的现代化管理型医院”。 2017年6月，通过世界卫生组织(WHO)认可的JCI认证，成为东北首家JCI认证医院。

The People’s Hospital of Liaoning Province, an all-around Third-level First-class hospital, is directly subordinate to Health and Family Planning Commission of Liaoning Province, and it is also taken as the medical center of central area of Liaoning province. The hospital covers an area of 72 thousand square meters with a total construction area of 167 thousand square meters, 1788 authorized beds and 2256 staff. The hospital has 26 administrative departments and 47 clinical and medical technology departments. Cardiovascular medicine, neurology, orthopedics and GI endoscope are hospital’s four preponderant disciplines. Our hospital also hosts national core journal—Chinese Journal of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery.

The People’s Hospital of Liaoning Province which originally named Northeastern Workers’ Hospital which is our country’s first workers’ hospital was set up in 1949. In 2015, The people’s Hospital of Liaoning Province was awarded as “National Civilized Unit”. In 2016, the hospital mapped out “The 13th Five-Year plan”, that is “Five Major Strategies”.
